The evening is to recognise and support Matt Parr's achievements.
As British champion, he has been invited to a skating camp to trainalongside other national champions from the rest of the World.
The camp is unfunded and held in Los Angeles.
We are looking for your support to help Matt achieve his goals and also for everyone to have a good night out!!
All funds raised, will go towards the cost of this opportunity for Matt.

29th A list of entries for the Annuals is now here to view, can you check your names are spelt correct and that you are in the correct level please, any corrections that need to be made can you let me know ASAP, email me here. 19th The Dundee Annuals is set for the 20th June, Applications, Regulations and Technical Requirements are now online. Please read the Technical Requirements carefully before filling in the Entry form. Incorrectly filled in forms will be returned. Please return by the closing date to Elton anytime before the closing date, entries received will be on the website in due course. Any problems you can email or phone me. Thankyou.

Dundee Annuals Technical Requirements
9th. We are having a party. As you know by now, John Briggs has retired from Dundee Ice Skating Club Committee after almost 10 years. As a thankyou we are having a party at Dundee Ice Arena on the 4th June from 7pm until midnight, there will be a buffet & Karaoke disco. This is for ADULTS only and we hope you can join us on this night. Thankyou.
8th. Online now is the Summer Skating Camp 2010 entry form and also we have the skate to create Choreography Master Class entry form.
More details about the camp and class are detailed below.
Stanick Jeanette is making a welcome return to the Get the Edge Camp at Dundee, Gary Beacom and Lorna Brown will be at Dundee for the Choreography Master Class, so as not to miss out on these opportunities to attend, please fill in the forms and return them in good time.

5th. We are hoping to get the photographer in on Friday for a quick photo of the Bracknell skaters, competition dress is optional, any trophies would be nice, should the photographer not turn up, then a photo will be taken by Elton to send in to the paper. Pass it on folks.
Figures Explained.
The coaches recently had a meeting for parents to explain some changes, 'Figures' was one of them, for those who missed out, here is a brief explanation.
As of Wednesday 5th May we will begin figure classes in order to improve the quality of our skaters.
The figure class will begin at 4.45pm for half an hour.
The figure class will replace the field move class, meaning that all private lessons will still be available as before.
Cost will be the same as field move classes, £7.00 per 30 minutes.
Initially, there will be a lot of explaining to the skaters, but it will give the skaters a greater understanding of their own skating and an advantage in any future career skating.
If you require additional information, please speak to your coach.

27th Good luck in Bracknell this week, have a safe journey and have a good time, take some good pics for the website also, if yo are staying in Dundee, just double check with your coach about ice times etc.
22nd Skate to Create, Don't miss out on this opportunity to join a 2 day class with Gary Beacom and Lorna Brown, coming to Dundee on Friday 4th June and Saturday 5th June, open to all skaters at a small fee of just £20. Applications are on the rink notice board, get them signed and handed back ASAP.

20th During the Braehead Skate School, the local paper came in to take pics and coments from skaters and coaches and put an article together which summed up the overall benefits to the skaters quite nicely. Just click on an image below to see.
 
18th Please note that there is still membership renewals outstanding, could you please bring your membership up-to-date to avoid disapointment ASAP. The committee is here to help you, if you have any problems about anything, come and speak to us.
17th. There will be a meeting of Parents, Coaches and Club next Wednesday 21st at 7pm in the main bar at the rink, we urge as many people to attend as possible . Important details will be discussed that affects everybody, so please attend. Thankyou.
12th. Braehead Easter School is now over and everybody worked hard and had a good time. Well done everybody from the ICE Team.

Just to let everybody know that the Club memberships are up for renewal, please can you have your membership up to date by the 14th April, some of you have been away so this should give you time to get organised.
